This concerns the collection of data on the gaps, challenges, good practices and training needs in the work of the main groups of stakeholders: LEAs, prosecutors, labour inspectors and first-line practitioners.

180 stakeholders contribute to this activity.

Representatives of LEA partners in Member States participating in the project draft use-case scenarios (one to three per country) based on real (but anonymised) international investigations, describing gaps, challenges and good practices. Based on the findings of the Needs Assessment and the use-case scenarios, a Report is prepared with analysis and recommendations for the content of the Specialised Training Toolkits and Simulation Scenario and the structure and scope of the Specialised Trainings and Master Simulation.

The training courses cover topics corresponding to the project priorities:

1. The disruption of financial flows of the criminal business model of traffickers;
2. The intensification of investigations (including evidence-led investigations), prosecutions and the judicial response in the area of trafficking in human beings, in order to dismantle the trafficking chain;
3. The disruption of the digital business model of traffickers by improving the digital capabilities of law enforcement and judicial authorities.

The courses will cover additional topics in accordance to the proposed project’s objectives:

1. Business model of labour trafficking.
2. Migrants, refugees and trafficking.
3. Vulnerable groups (women and children), gender and trafficking.

Held in Greece for 50 participants after the completion of the Specialised Training Courses.

It aims to enhance cooperation and better operational coordination among (i) LEAs and prosecutors, (ii) labour inspectors and (iii) first-line practitioners at national and international level. The ultimate goal of the Master Simulation Exercise is, also, to increase dedication to use cross-border referral practices between EU Member -States and participation in joint cross-border investigations (JITs).
